Sorry Britney — and Christina, Ryan, and Justin! Keri Russell boasted of her supreme status on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club during Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, Mar. 16. The Americans actress, as many will recall, belted out kiddie songs and threw on Mickey ears with fellow future A-listers during the early ’90s.
“MC is what the cool kids call it,” Russell, 38, joked to the late-night host. “I stand by this fact — yes, it was like Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling — I like to remind everyone that they were 12 at the time. I was 17, I could drive.”
The Felicity alum joked that she was even kicked out of her Girl Scout Brownie troop for being “too cool” and for doing “too many cartwheels.” But what she still has time for? Making small talk with her former Mickey Mouse Club costars if and when she bumps into them.
“For real, the last time I saw Christina Aguilera it was in a lingerie shop in Soho,” the Brooklyn denizen said, as Meyers blushed. “I see Justin occasionally. We were at some restaurant after an event and it was a big group of people and I saw him,” she added. “I went up and started talking to him and I came back to my table and just blew their minds. They were like, ‘How do you know Justin Timberlake!?’ And I was like, ‘Mickey Mouse Club.’

Meyers teased that being a part of The Mickey Mouse Club is like the opposite of dropping your microphone after a heated battle. And Russell, well, couldn’t help but change her tune and agree.
“It’s so true!” she said. “Cool kids then were smoking pot and ditching class. And I was on The Mickey Mouse Club doing dance routines…”
